Sources have told Al-Mirsaad that a key ISIS-K commander was killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen in Peshawar. According to well-informed security sources speaking to Al-Mirsaad, Zalmai Badakhshi, a senior operational planner for ISIS-K, was shot dead in the Shah Kas area of Peshawar. Badakhshi, also known within ISIS-K as Salman, fled Afghanistan in October 2025 and relocated to the group’s active centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
