In an interview with a private media outlet, the Minister of National Defense of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, stated that Pakistan, in previous negotiations, sought to divide Afghanistan against its tribes and shift the war across a hypothetical border. He also stated that Pakistan actively sought to create conflict with Afghanistan in those negotiations and made no effort to resolve the matter through dialogue.
