Water spirits could be an interesting topic in Lashunta metaphysical cosmology. Although water is esteemed as a masculine element, corresponding to rivers and rain, lakes and ponds are feminine. Since Lashunta strongly associate godhood with nature, these spiritual beings are classified more strongly with the godlike ~Noa~ as opposed to the feylike ~Yezaea~.

As such, ~Shahasae~ - the Lake Queen - may be an important figure in Lashunta mythology surrounding Lake Arasene in northwestern Asana. As the lake's personification, she once played an important symbolic role in the coronation of the ancient queens of Lea, which stands on Arasene's shore. In more contemporary times, the city and nearby denizens pray to Her for kindly weather, bountiful catches, and prosperity.
