The most important thing I've ever done is stopping to sit and talk with someone who needed it. I never got her name, but I fed her, listened to her, told her I believed in her, and encouraged her as best I could.

I have no idea how much of a difference I made in her life. But if my time on the other side of the situation is anything to go by, just having someone take her seriously helped. I choose to believe that she is now happy and safe.
