@gedankenstuecke Yeah. I've been warning the same leather belt for years and had a leather wallet that lasted for decades until I put it im the washer and got destroyed. That's why I'm wondering whether the long term effect of choosing a more durable (and repairable! You're right) item but potentially with a biggest initial cost for animal life balances out. Maybe quality is also an issue and I need to make sure that if I buy leather, it needs to be something really good.
