Software dev, architect, lead. Also, music, motorsport, films, and @leymoo. Senior Staff Engineer. My views, not my employer’s. Previously: Feel free to ask or check my site, which is now less terrible. Profile: me, lit with purple disco lighting and with a disco ball behind one shoulder. Header: a street with nearby rooftops and a tree, and the ocean about 1.5 km away. Black Lives Matter. Trans Lives Matter. Late-stage capitalism is bad for people. None of this should be controversial.

Snatch (Guy Ritchie) is more of a caper but could count. Wrath of Man (same director) is more explicitly a heist.
And I’d finally throw out Heat (Michael Mann) as definitely _having_ a good heist. In fact, Thief is also excellent, and Public Enemies could count too (both Mann).
Finally, Catch Me if you Can (Spielberg) is very close in tone and emotional feel to Now You See Me, IMO.
