@cstross@wandering.shop for those people who don't have a great appreciation for history, this was the time that Edward III to Henry VIII attempted to invade and annex Scotland. And lost. And continue to lose, to this day.
The subsequent conflicts and "rebellions" are better viewed as disagreements between Scottish houses, who have always been each others' worst enemies. The English? A sideshow.
