Sound reasonable.
To me TDD is more a, write the first test that comes to mind, do the absolute minimum to make the test pass, iterate as long as necessary, and I'm not convinced that is fun or rewarding or produces code you want to work on

Repairing stuff as long as possible. Trying to do stuff with electronics and small computers. Failing to have more "look at this cool thing" than "look how bad this is" in my timeline.
