Never before has a proposed timeline given rise to such heated debate, whereas it is not materially different than before. What's behind this? At least part of the answer is GST2. According to the proposed timeline, the AR7 assessment will be finished before the end of the second Global Stocktake (GST2) under the Paris Agreement.
