@Natasha_Jay yeah. We need a phrase that (1) is as concise as "life is short" and (2) warns young people about the fact that, as we get older, time seems to go by faster and faster, so we tend to underestimate more and more the amount of time that has passed since an event that we lived through. There really ought to be a word for this!
