@anna US economy is crumbling down manly due to offshoring industries and speculation, only thing that keeps the entire country economy afloat are the big techs. because of that big techs are draining all that is possible from the free work that is floss and not giving back to the community(constant and big layoffs means engineers are more overworked and with less free time to contribute), what makes contributing to floss not a valuable background anymore but a hassle to constantly fight with people demanding stuff.
