[off topic?] Great classic mystery novel, "Too Many Cooks" by Rex Stout. Nero Wolfe is a 300 pound private detective who hates leaving his Manhattan brownstone. He investigates from his armchair, sending his assistant Archie Goodwin to round up clues and bring him folks to interrogate. Wolfe is a famous gourmand and is invited to give a speech on American food to a group of European chefs. Interesting novel on many levels.
