@lritter @ticho Yes, that's what I was trying to get at, I think? Firefly didn't have time to explore much of it's themes/narrative conceits - we saw a fraction of a glimpse of what the show could have been, and I don't know/can't say where it could have gone. Where two and a half decades ago, I thought "oh, that's some fascinating juxtaposition," today, I find it less impressive, there's an awkward blank spot that I don't have to squint hard to see the shape of stuff I'm not into.
