Yes, there has been an ongoing boycott for 50 years. No, it's not working.
But just as vegetarians are happier not eating meat, some people are happier not eating Nestle, and just like there are really no ethical grounds to criticize vegetarians (unless you're a vegan), there are really no ethical grounds to criticize boycotting Nestle.
