@ConnyDuck @wikipedia Wikipedia gained mobile support very early, before responsive design was well-developed as a field. The Minerva skin (mobile layout) probably stays around because of a combination of technical inertia (mobile behavior being coded around whether Minerva is in use) and simply being good enough.
