As everybody rushes to try out Threads, and either shouts about how cool it is, how much they hate it, or how exploitive the permissions are, but the detail so few people mention is how it's conspicuously devoid of ads. You know, the thing that practically defines the experience of FB and IG now.

Nobody thinks that's a mistake, it's obviously not. But before committing to stick around, just imagine what it'll be like in a year when 3-4 ads are always visible and mixed in with regular posts.
