Today is my father's birthday. He was born in 1923 & died in 2015. I still miss him terribly. He was a sonar operator in WWII. The first time he'd been out of NY was to go to sonar school in Dundee, Scotland. He was a kind & wise man, a feminist before the word was coined. Raised 2 confident daughters. A supporter of civil rights & unions, he would have been appalled by our current state of the world. He didn't dodge UBoats to see Nazis rise to positions of power.
