I seem to accidentally have created a new Tulip variety. The parent variety, which I planted years ago, can be seen in the background and has large red flowers with yellow at the edges. The new variety in the foreground, which I did not plant and which flowers for the first time, has smaller flowers, flowers later than the parent, and has pretty red and yellow but much more stripy flowers. I wonder how it happened, maybe some genetic mutation.
