When this post went out, our cooperative had serendipitously just scheduled a Linux install workshop at our favorite local bookstore/community event space. Inspired by this post, we decided that if it went well we’d start doing it monthly.
Well the event was last night, and it was incredible! Participants showed up ready to rock, and there were enough other local people who wanted to help that we were able to maintain a 1:1 ratio of installers-to-helpers.
We will be doing it monthly for sure and we encourage others to do the same, in the place that you live!
