Die Tagesschau berichtet, dass Frontstellungen oder Rüstungsindustrie in der Ukraine mit Hilfe von Werbe-IDs in den Handys ausgespäht werden können. Auch andere sensible Orte oder Berufe wie Journalisten lassen sich so überwachen.
Bei Googles Android heißt diese Nummer Werbe-ID, auf Apple-iPhones heißt sie Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) oder kurz AdID.
