the reality is that i am jobless because for a year (2024-2025) i was passing on talent scouts that were scouting for ai companies. the most recent one was a linkedin dm i got on march 2025 for an ai dating app, a tindr clone basically except you'd talk to an ai persona of the person you are matched with. i told the scout i was not interested because i genuinely don't want to contribute to that kind of world, but i could've just taken the job. but i didn't. 19 job offers were in my linkedin dms, 11 of which was for dating apps, 5 for NFTs, 3 for military. it all stopped after march 2025, which is when mcps or "agentic" ai took off.
