Current status: realizing I am missing two screws to re attach iMac Pro back to its foot. The small plastic bag we put them in was torn and the screws must have fallen out as the foot moved around the house. I had this computer since 2017.

This holidays I'm a bit unable to walk too much so I was looking at improving the #i18n tooling for #Go. This is all very fresh but together with gitlab.com/zygoon/go-i18n it makes it relatively easy to support shipping translations in go modules, across go module proxy, and using it from applications and libraries alike.

The thinkpad I just fixed? I dropped it on concrete by accident. I caught a little cold and have this terrible headache. I was getitng out of a car to pick up some special PEG food for my father in law and forgot about the device I had on my lap. Eh, not my day.

Yesterday I received my #NothingPhone (3) back from the service center after it had suddnely just stopped working (would not enumerate, or charge) after an OTA. The service report indicates that motherboard, battery and some internal wiring was replaced with new units. My suspicion is that the OTA bricked something and that the service center either broke the cable or broke the cable and battery and thus all three were replaced.

The episodes are very short and the series, IMO, captures the spirit of the books very well. Enjoy!

The whole data centers in space is about avoiding some jurisdiction rules, right? It's not about anything other than being free to break the laws because the device breaking it is in space.

@bugwhisperer@blahaj.zone Canonical infrastructure was being DDOSed over weekend. Perhaps it is still ongoing?

I was gaming on a 2019 #macpro with Vega 2 GPU, running #Ubuntu 26.04, playing #Stalker2 and #Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG via #HeroicLauncher. isn’t this exactly what Mastodon is for?

My strix halo laptop has way better graphic performance when the internal display is on. With the display off the mouse cursor struggles to get 15fps. With the display on i can get 120Hz (on an external dispay). I don't want to keep using the OLED screen if I can avoid it. #Linux #amd #strixhalo

Apparently my #ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with a #Qualcomm SoC is faster than my #Framework13 with Intel Core Ultra 125H: https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/compare/16645340?baseline=17377862 - at least according to #GeekBench 6

I've added an #MCP server into #snapd to learn a little bit about this. I think it's very interesting what #LLMs can do and this has certainly taught me a lot. You can play with this locally by building the snap or the classic package and installing on your system then enabling the 'mcp' experimental flag with: snap set system experimental.mcp=true https://github.com/canonical/snapd/pull/16836

I realized I may have, er, too many computers. I've decided to let my Framework 13 go. It runs any Linux like a charm, suspends, wakes up, just works. - Intel Core Ultra 125H - 1TB nvme with additional 1TB card - 96GB of DDR5 ($$$$$) - 2.8K 120Hz screen - Mint condition - DBrand skin on the back (easy to remove) - Windows 11 license (in firmware tables) I have a bunch of extension cards but I will most likely keep them. Please repost for coverage. I'm located in Warsaw/Poland.
