  Long requested feature for our web app: upload whole folders not just single items. Now it's possible and preserves the existing folder structure and automatically creates folders/albums. The other app already did that, now the web does too. #degoogle #madeineu

  The past few weeks have been a bit quiet from our end. Not because we were on vacation though. We finally finished a huge refactoring of the Android/iOS apps that ultimately got rid of >30k lines of code. We migrated all viewmodel logic into the shared #go core allowing us way more code sharing while still offering native UI/UX. #madeineu #degoogle #oss

  Our storage and compute costs just went up ~35%. For us, that’s not a small adjustment, it cuts directly into the margin we use to build and improve #zeitkapsl We could pass that on.   With the upcoming release of the Android (v 1.15.5) and iOS (v1.15.6) apps we have made it easier to add content to albums. You can now also directly add photos from the album view.   @Lioh @anjavoss um es etwas auszuführen: Wir wollen primär eine Lösung für die Leute bieten, denen Privatsphäre und/oder Unabhängigkeit von US-BigTech ein Anliegen ist, die gleichzeitig kein Interesse bzw Kenntnisse für self-hosting haben. Weil es für self-hosting schon gute Alternativen gibt und gleichzeitig unsere clients, in denen die Verschlüsselung passiert, Open Source sind, sehen wir relativ wenig Mehrwert für den nicht zu vernachlässigenden Mehraufwand für das Open Sourcen des Servers
