  I keep seeing absolute narratives about AI. "It will solve everything" to "it will just go away". Obviously both are wrong. Thousands of companies have already deployed AI systems and seeing real benefits. Many solutions are typical Machine Learning problems people have been solving for decades. It just got more accessible. And equally there are ton of idiotic execs making drastic decisions out of gut feeling and sinking a ton of money for no good reason. Bot...

  Why do companies prefer platforms like bluesky? It’s really simple: advertising. There are no advertising mechanisms on the Fedi, no „business accounts“ with analytics, monetisation tooling, etc. There simply is no way to create a following by spending money, or selling a service or product.   je comprend vraiment pas la stratégie du PS. Le parti a été vidé de tout sens, idéologie, personnalités et électeurs en faveur du centre. (Tout comme LR l’a fait en faveur du RN.)   Just planted my first DIY Olla clay pot to water my greenhouse. I've made two over the last 72h by sticking together two clay pots. (They can hold ~10L) I think I need at least two more :D #gardening

  Life is absurd #73419219: Zeit.de has published a NSDAP search engine letting anyone find out by name who was a registered member of the Nazi Party. Long story short: A member of one part of the family was in fact a NSDAP member, and actively bombing the other part of the Dutch (and perhaps Belgian) family. The exact towns. I suppose this isn't much a surprise. But had he bombed a bit more to the left, or had the Dutch shot him, or family might not exist. 🫠

And this just demonstrates that through hope, diplomacy, and forgiveness entire populations can eventually trust each other again, and even love each other, despite living a traumatic period. #NoWars #peace

  I have a Bakfiets with a Shimano Steps motor. And it suddenly became super loud when I turn the cranks (either way). I have never serviced an ebike before, and the whole system is "closed", so I'm not where to even begin "debugging". Has anyone has had a similar issue before and knows how to resolve and start this? #cycling #cargobike #BikeTooter

  Feels a bit dull here at times. Everybody just complaining about LLMs for the 100th time. You're just the other side of the LinkedIn mirror where everybody is just pretending to be an AI expert for the 100th time. Both audiences think they understand all the aspects of the technology, the economics, the claims, its future… Zero nuance & 100% armchair expertise on both platform.

  Just installed 2 automatic window-opener in my greenhouse. Now 3 of 4 windows open automatically when it gets too warm, they only react to a wax getting hot and a coil expanding, no electronics =) The other window is using an old system, I tried to repair it today, but it looks like I need to replace it 🙃 #gardening
