Time to try my luck with #getfedihired in IT: I am looking for a work in IT, preferably as a software engineer (pref python/c++)/data scientist/data engineer/data analyst, but I can learn a lot of things on the fly and I'm not picky. I have a bachelor's degree in compsci from uni of warsaw, two internships at google and two jobs (<1yr each) with data and ML. I can provide CV if you're interested.

So, I knew that lysergic acid amide was synthesized by ergot fungi (causing st. Anthony's fire in middle ages), and that it was found in morning glory plants. I assumed that it was two evolutionary metabolism pathways in 2 kingdoms, but it turns out ipomoea plants are in symbiosis with fungi closely related to ergot, making "one evolutionary development" more likely. Literally a 2025 discovery!

chat, do I wanna buy a cashmere sweater (whose fit and style I don't like) off vinted for 10€ for unraveling and re-knitting purposes, ASSUMING and not being sure it's chain linked (and thus unravelable) and seemingly being from what reddit links as a "good quality cashmere"

mfw I'm reading about an AMAB painter who often dressed in women's clothes to go and paint androgynous demimonde people in night clubs, claimed he was only into muscular, not considered "conventionally attractive" women and died single, and claimed having several drag/femme alter egos helped him with depression and suicidality:

kinda funny how japanese uses "middle schooler" as part of a descrption of over the top main character syndrome, while polish uses "middle schooler" as part of a description of an edgy reactive atheist (chuunibyou vs gimboateista)

In Poland we don't say someone is a "jack of all trades", we say that someone "ties the ties AND terminates pregnancies" and I think it's beautiful
