Recruiting illegal slates of electors for the Electoral College. Strong-arming duly elected state officials whose sworn duty is to protect the sanctity of the voting process. Lying to officials of one state by claiming that officials of another state are executing Trump&#39;s illegal plans. That while the officials of the second state had already rejected Trump&#39;s plan as illegal. The lies are laid out in Jack Smith&#39;s document.

Somebody needs to awaken the undecided to this situation. The MAGA faithful do not care nor will they listen. Their focus is on the culture wars and truth no longer matters. Somehow we need to rebuild faith in our institutions, the rule of law, and the balance of power.

@isotopp Really? Authoritarianism takes many forms including Putin&#39;s Russia, Castro&#39;s Cuba, Chavez&#39;s Venezuela, Xi&#39;s People&#39;s Republic of China. Are they capitalistic? C&#39;mon, Poison? (attributed to Navalny).

@Remittancegirl I hope that you are correct and that European leaders conduct themselves in a mature and calculating fashion. Ukraine must become Eu-kraine and a part of NATO for the current world order to be sustained. Unfortunately the American electorate has given the car keys to a teenager who can&#39;t drive and stepped back to see how much damage he can do when he crashes the car.

Marching a group of costume-play wanna-be bullies through a park of children at play. This could be the story line from an episode of South Park. You can’t make this junior-high-school-hormones stuff up. The irony of this is that it occurred at MacArthur Park, named for one of the greatest generals of WW II. Save your respect for the genuine soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen who are trained members of a lethal military whose purpose is to protect the citizens of this country.
