What you mean is, it’s up to businesses if they simply reduce the VAT and thus your price or they use the difference to also up the fee so the total end figure remains the same. What they can’t do is “choose” whether to aerosol charge you more or less VAT.

It means places will use cop outs like using the already woeful accessible facilities as the third space making life worse for trans & those with accessibility needs. It’ll create a forced “outing” of people & create loads of social exclusion. …and it won’t change the 91% of rapes that are by men, the 6 in 7 by those known to the woman, or 2 in 5 by partner or ex.   Number of women made safer by new “statutory guidance”: Practically zero. I’m sure someone will find one example & project it as if it’s a constant occurrence. Number of women on average* typically raped by the time the 40 days of alleged “consultation” on the new guidance: 87,452. *using Cambridge Rape Crisis numbers, which likely also are underreporting as many never get reported. Society is not fixing issues, it’s creating new ones and leaving women unsafe. #trans #transuk

  Maybe I should close down the service my company provides essentially at cost and mostly at a loss to Rape Crisis and Sexual abuse services across the UK because apparently despite my many different roles doing public good and commercially helping women that should feel safe, I’m a terrible predator that should actually be subject to abuse and hate, humiliated and subjected to exclusions and discrimination. Or is it that I’m “good enough” for that but not to have a piss in peace.

  Unsurprised to learn that Labour has lost seats everywhere. It seems a strategy of policies akin to Reform didn’t gain them Reform voters but did lose them Labour voters. What a massive surprise. Then add the chaotic first period as government with policies that get cancelled before they’re even finished announcing them and a series of own goals by leadership and the results are not surprising. Oh and nobody is out reforming reform on tactics either. Absolute morons the lot of them.

  Quite bizarre why Reform and friends are so obsessed with the Exeter Pride event today as if it makes any odds to them. Worse though is the absolute crap they're spouting that somehow an event held at the library is now a harm to children because supposedly this means that children are being forced into LGBT by going to the library. If only there were some actual, genuine issues that needed attention in the region instead.

  Today in 'does not keep records in sync because they blatantly do one way exports of data to a third party service' ... GoCardless. Who like many others continue to send emails (marketing etc) to the wrong persona and email because despite everything I can control being updated they blatantly never think to keep that bit up to date and thus continue to get it wrong. Absolutely unacceptable, not compliant with GDPR and yet absolutely rampant with companies.
