  Hey, if you use Stripe for anything, just FYI that you have to *opt-out* of their new AI, which they will charge you for. You don't want Standard (which is free until January, I think, and is their AI plan), you want Lite. You can opt-out in your dashboard.

  I absolutely adored The Dragon Has Some Complaints by John Wiswell! A three-headed dragon, traumatised by the loss of one of his heads, decides to take revenge on humanity (and also get some much needed food and shelter) by getting himself taken in by humans alongside other injured tame dragons.   #WritersCoffeeClub 1: Recently, how excited have you been to sit down to write? Since I have not had as much opportunity to write as I would like due to the heatwave making it very difficult to turn on my PC, I have been quietly excited whenever I get the chance.   It's Murderbot day but I have to wait for Joh to get home! Well, I don't *have* to, but we just finished listening to all of the audiobooks (Joh's first time reading the series) and it feels wrong to read it without him. So we'll listen to the audiobook together and then I'll read the ebook myself a few times.

  Wren's tantrums when Joh has gone to work have escalated this week. Yesterday, she made herself sick. Today, she jumped up on the banister over the stairs and then fell onto the stairs. I'm keeping an eye on her and gonna take her for a big walk later. But she really needs Joh time. Joh hasn't been spending as much time with her this week and she's just...going wild over it.

  In honour of Black Author Day (which was yesterday, and I missed it!) some Black authors I highly recommend: Nnedi Okorafor. The Binti series are particular favourites of mine, but all of her books are amazing.   Joh played the Tomodachi Life demo. His first Mii was Odysseus (the Odyssey). His second was Hamlet (Hamlet). The third was Miss Havisham (Great Expectations). The amount of time and thought that went into the character creation was so cute, and Joh is so excited by the thought that the full game will let him add even more characters.
