  This is not a defense of AI or LLMs, but I'm seeing some Strong Opinions on Fedi this morning, and my 2c: If your argument against GenAI is "copyright infringement!" or "jobs!" or "computers can't think!" - it's worth some deep internal reflection.

  Set mem_sleep_default=deep on my kernel cmdline to try and troubleshoot lockups after waking up from sleep and... waking up is like it's 1990 all over again, but at least there haven't been any hard locks.

  I was looking at a bug trap we have set up to catch spotted lanternflies, an invasive pest. It's a sort of net cage that is easy for bugs to fly in to, but difficult to fly out of.   Had to break out the old OG Pixel XL today to test something, and idk if GBoard was just that much better on old phones, or it's just memory, but gosh typing on that keyboard feels so much better than on my modern Pixel.
