    I&amp;#39;ve resurrected my minimalist #blog at https://wittamore.fr It hasn&amp;#39;t been touched in several months, as I&amp;#39;ve been playing with #gopher instead. Taking a fresh look, it wasn&amp;#39;t that bad. It lacks a fediverse connection and could do with a spring clean, but it isn&amp;#39;t as hidden as my gopher hole: gopher://wittamore.fr

    After the mastodon.social DDOS I thought it would be a good idea to have my own instance, so I installed #snac2. It is indeed light and fast, but unfortunately I found some operational bugs that stopped me from getting the most out of it. So now I&amp;#39;m trying #gotosocial. I&amp;#39;m giving my contacts a bit of a rollercoaster, but I guess you have to break eggs to make an omlette. Anyway, my new account is @philip

    If I write a post on my #gotosocial instance with a link in the text, when posted I see the link. If I do the same on my #mastodon.social account, the post contains the link plus a description of the link and sometimes an image. I&amp;#39;m guessing that mastodon retrieves ogg information, but gotosocial doesn&amp;#39;t. Is there a configuration parameter I&amp;#39;m missing?

    I got up this morning and everything hurts, but I made two baguettes from the dough I left in the fridge overnight and made myself some bread, salty butter, and marmalade breakfast, and suddenly the world looks better. #breadbaking

    @adele Just to add that installed fread on my phone this morning to test my snac2 instance, and it doesn&amp;#39;t show the error I&amp;#39;m seeing with smolfedi. So it&amp;#39;s definetly a smolfedi &amp;lt;&amp;gt; snac2 problem
