Evertz is giving me a big middle finger. I went to log into my support account to download a manual, and it said my account didn't exist. So I figured, I haven't used it for a while, so perhaps that's why, so I'll just re-register. I re-register and it says "pending moderator approval", but I didn't receive any further notifications. Checked a few days later, and the account has been deleted again. Tried a second time, same results. Ex...

It seems to be a trend for web sites to render perfectly, then a second later replace the contents with a blank screen and some text saying that "something went wrong". Console says something about a regex error. Javascript was a huge mistake.

@FurryBeta If the screen completely dies, I'll look into this and see how hard it will be to get a replacement driver board. So far, it only flickers in intensity for the first 10 minutes after powering on. The hardest part now is that Ebay and other US-centric marketplaces are increasingly closed off due to all of the trade issues that are making it difficult or cost prohibitive to ship to Canada.

@FurryBeta I moved to a smaller provider in Canada (easymail.ca). I heard enough things about Proton that I wanted to avoid it, and I haven't looked at fastmail, so I can't comment on it. Before I was on gmail, I used to run a mail server in my closet on System 7, with Eudora accessing it via POP3. None of the ISPs will let you do this any more, and self-hosting mail is *really hard* now.

The MacOS X Finder is so full of bugs now that it is almost unusable. It's infuriating how far quality standards have fallen.

TFW a file format is so old that it includes an "insert paper tape this way" arrow as part of the header: Looks like this traces back to the PDP-11.
