@FurryBeta I moved to a smaller provider in Canada (easymail.ca). I heard enough things about Proton that I wanted to avoid it, and I haven't looked at fastmail, so I can't comment on it. Before I was on gmail, I used to run a mail server in my closet on System 7, with Eudora accessing it via POP3. None of the ISPs will let you do this any more, and self-hosting mail is *really hard* now.
