Thinking about getting myself a #bakfiets (two-wheeled front-loaded #cargobike). The idea has been cooking for years but I finally have the energy to do the research properly. ...and the necessary funds to make things real too. 1️⃣ Muscle powered 2️⃣ Lightweight 3️⃣ Regionally available 4️⃣ Not too expensive I think I found a match yesterday. 🚴‍♂️

The makings of a small heat pump starts with winter cold air outside. A greenhouse with inflated ETFE walls creates a warmer &quot;bubble&quot; around the already well-insulated tiny house inside. The tiny house demands little heating so the heat pump can be much smaller than currently available units. @neverbeaten - More than ten years ago I replaced my TV with a big computer display (since some weeks back it is 34&quot; 21:9). It wasn&#39;t privacy that caused me to switch, but rather my dream of living off grid. The display uses less energy than a TV would and there&#39;s no need for an extra decoder unit as the computer does all that work anyway. The tiny computer is my &quot;stereo&quot; too. 📺

If it is possible to make an axial flux electric motor with 750kW at twelve kilo, something recently done by the British company YASA, then it should be possible to make a 20kW one that is incredibly light. Put one of those 20kW motors in each wheel of a light car and it should be enough to move a family. ...and then think about what such a motor would look like if you scale it down to fit a bike... 🚴 #axialFlux #eBike
