gang - I have a LOT of DVDs and Blu-rays and years ago, in order to save space I chucked the cases and put the discs into sleeves, but now I'm reconsidering this system as well any good new ideas on how to store/organize DVDs & Blu-rays that both saves space AND makes them easier to access?

“Spider-Noir” is now playing on Prime Video. I recommend watching it in black and white. A ton of very creative people worked for months and months on the visual effects for the show (of which there are a LOT) but you wouldn’t know it by watching the credits.

East Side Effects' visual effects reel for "Severance" season two. Includes a quick breakdown of that shot that was promoted as "all practical" when in fact it relied on digital visual effects to complete the illusion. https://vimeo.com/1194550030

What a dreadful place we are in where a mega billionaire says something like “You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens. I promise you.” and not be shamed by the culture and the people around him into making a public apology the very next day.

If you have family that doesn't understand the seriousness of all of this, perhaps you could send this link to those family members, a segment from the PBS Newshour. Maybe it will help open their eyes. PBS Newshour: White House posts echo rhetoric linked to extremist groups https://youtu.be/YXzzuWrYDV4?si=5Rt2p_w97QmOZaXr

I read the piece again and became even more disappointed. 2026: "Docter said Pixar found some parents didn’t want entertainment to force them to have a conversation they weren’t ready for with their children. “We’re making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy,” he said." 2009:

Why didn’t they “just” build a five story Death Star interior for just one shot instead of “relying” on visual effects trickery? “Star Wars” (1977)
