  @VulcanTourist @BlackAzizAnansi His outlandish bigotry and weirdo nationalism is absolutely not new information. The GOP was fine with all of it, until revelations about his sexual/porn proclivities came to light and made him a political liability. They were TOTALLY okay with the violent fashy rhetoric though.

  @AngryBlackLady Every trans person in America is terrified right now, and the fact that SCOTUS is even entertaining this case is just one of the many reasons why. Children’s healthcare is only the entry point, not the end goal — if they succeed they’re coming after us adults next, followed by the LGBTQ+ community at large. Every single thing they’re doing WRT trans people is designed to erase us from society.

  @billherndon @rebeccawatson The transphobes think everyone is trans these days, because it’s just one more thing that that can use to convince themselves they’re right. It’s easy to be an asshole when everyone else is the enemy.

  @hacks4pancakes FWIW, neither have I. My husband and I are in the middle of planning a move halfway across the country to Cali, in large part because it’ll (hopefully) offer at least something of a safety buffer (we’re moving from CO because I don’t want to be locked into a place surrounded by hostile states.) We both are job hunting and apartment hunting at the same time as having to deal with the election, plus planning the drive out there. Also I’m trans. I’m trying super fucking hard, but...

  @zuul While they have psychedelic properties, amanita muscaria are not what most folks who actually consume psychedelic mushrooms (psilocybin cubensus) generally consider to be “magic mushrooms”. They have a much lower safety profile, and can make people incredibly ill, among other things. Amanita are very often used to graphically represent magic mushrooms though because they’re very striking to look at. Most psilocybin mushrooms, in comparison, tend to be plain beige or brown mushrooms that do...

  @BlackAzizAnansi Moving to Oakland in the hopes that my queer ass is a little safer in Cali. Otherwise trying to harness the power of my 16-year-old punkrocker self’s penchant for mutual aid, activism and maybe a little low-key fuckery if it becomes necessary.
