@newsguyusa@flipboard.social If any image ever needed alt text it was this one.. "The IRGC will no longer allow America to replace its oil and ammunition reserves with deceptive ceasefires and then resume attacks. The aggressive US military, which used to launch cruise missiles from its ships in the Indian Ocean in its aggressions after the official resumption of the war, turned to using B1 aircraft flying from the UK's Fairford Air Base yesterday, as these ships' missile reserves...

@Lydie@tech.lgbt At that point you have to do anything to avoid escalation, otherwise things get bad, fast.

Had to dig up an old bug report I made with google after I got a new wifi setup. Android *still* randomly loses ipv6 if you don't set the DTIM multiplier to 5. Google claim it's a bug in the defaults, and they're not going to fix it :/ I note Apple recommend setting to 3 to fix problems with their devices too.. Mind you, that was hard information to find. A sea of people having problems.. https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/420932914

Trump cuts funding, ebola outbreak goes out of control, people die. But why would he care. He's a disease himself.

Gah after being so cautious the manager has 'embraced' AI.. we're being told we have to become AI developers. So.. spitballing.. anyone up for hiring a geek with ~30 years development experience? Remote preferred. #fedihired

Some talk of takeaways pointed me to the local curry place.. they deliver.. Their website has a blanket 15% added to all the prices (vs. just eat), with a large '15% off' banner to make it look like you're getting a deal. Of course the way the maths work you actually are, by about 3%..

Trying to debug with $boss is absolutely painful. We've now been 3 hours on something I could have done in 20 minutes, but he insist he wants to do it. A whole morning gone.. and I've missed lunch! If this is pair programming it can get in the sea.

""In the permanently shaded craters, [there are] areas of great interest that have been untouched by sunlight for millions, even billions of years." In those areas, temperatures can fall well below -400C. " I don't expect BBC reporters to have physics degrees or anything but *some* understanding of how temperatures work would help..

@ChrisMayLA6 The existing government is supposed to campaign on 'look how great things are, if you vote for the other guy they'll ruin it'. The tories can't do that, they'd be laughed out of the room.

I decided to get back into 3d printing.. so quick review of the bambu x1c after a week. 1. Unboxing. Despite youtube implying it was 'unpack and go' there's quite a lot of removing screws/polystyrn e, fiting tubes and stuff. It took some time esp. as I was being careful. The getting started guide walks yo u through it though. Also, it's damned heavy. 1/

Tired of having to point out this was a *local* election and local councillors have about as much say in immigration as my greengrocer does, and unless the reform councillor had a policy on small bins they won't be able to do anything they are claiming. When I went to school we had a whole section on how our electoral system works.. did people skip that?
