Tune into this @ainowinstitute.org + More Perfect Union event. Just finished a Q&A between Ilana Glazer and Zohran Mamdani. And man, I loved Ilana Glazer as a comedian but I love her even more now. Her questions were spot on. https://www.youtube.com/live/ttrrVouMbXM

🔇 🔇 🔇 My book, Deep Unlearning, is now available for preorders! I don't know how people write so many books because this one took a lot out of me. It turns out, I had a lot to say 😂, with editors cutting out 50k of my words 🫣 ✴️ You can now preorder it at https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Deep-Unlearning/Timnit-Gebru/9781668093078 ✴️ Is there a local bookstore that you think should order this book? Like Stochastic Parrots, TESCREAL is also an acronym they hate and are talking about. In the comments agreeing with a poster about TESCREAL, was Joscha Bach saying that the acronym basically accuses everyone we disagree with of being Hitler. Funny he brings up hitler. "Very blue eyed indeed."

The media on "takes on rogue AI," features billionaires (newly minted or old), people doing so-called "AI safety" getting hundreds of millions claiming to save us from extinction, and then me playing in my kiddy pool with my pretend dollars 😂 https://www.npr.org/2026/09/26/nx-s1-5979085/the-ai-safety-debate-is-confusing-heres-our-guide-to-the-different-factions

Friends, you may have seen this but if not, sharing: "The LLM-generated proof hinges on a particular mathematical argument that it presented as its own but that actually first appeared in a 2016 paper by Miller and a collaborator." https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/openais-latest-math-breakthroughs-commit-research-misconduct-experts-say/

Friends, when I sent this message to my team laughing, I didn't know that this fairytale blog had been shared far and wide until someone asked me for a good source debunking this nonsense. At a certain point I have to ask myself if I got all this pedigree and spent decades doing research and building things to then spend the rest of my life attempting to come up with good arguments as to why the Cookie Monster isn't real. I'm not sure what planet we're living in at this point...

So in summary: using AI for coding led to depression, apathy, existential dread, and worse software. Not good. Add on top of that the negative environmental, community, and economic impacts of AI, and it became extremely apparent to me that something's gotta change. https://brettcodes.com/im-done-using-ai/

I don't think people understand the extent to which this has been a decade plus long billionaire funded campaign (obviously Thiel is involved). We've tried to ring the alarm about these eugenicists but it is too easy for them to get parroted by the mainstream media. https://bylinetimes.com/2026/08/18/the-peter-thiel-linked-race-science-network-that-penetrated-cambridge-university-and-targeted-jason-arday/

Well, well, well, I KNEW that the hounding of Arday was gonna get connected back to the TESCREAL bozos somehow. See this "paper" by the guy who hired Cofnas at Ghent University. Reminder "dysgenic" is the opposite of "eugenic," they mean Black people and other undesirables reproducing too much. Reminder, the L in TESCREAL is for "longtermism." Read more at https://dair-institute.org/projects/tescreal/ These are also th...

Friends, have you seen the investigation on UK students, including those at Oxford and Cambridge, hiring Kenyans to write their papers and dissertations? I assume it wasn't cross Atlantic news as the media only seems to be interested in laundering eugenics into the mainstream. Think about the audacity of them telling Black people that we're subpar DEI hires and frauds such and these students hiring Black people to do their work for them and pass it off as their own. https://w...

"As Japanese financial newspaper Nikkei Asia found in a recent investigation, just five US tech giants — Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle — are hiding an estimated $1.65 trillion in debt that doesn’t appear on balance sheets. That’s even more than the $1.35 trillion in debt the five companies officially reported in their financial data for the most recent quarter." https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/ai-companies-hide-debt-off-balance-sheet

Its all about "free markets" and "let the market decide" until you have competition that shows how full of bullshit you are and then you run to daddy Trump saying to stop these bad Chinese models from entering our market. The irony of OpenAI and Anthropic running to the government to save them whenever there’s competition and it’s this government that complains about “handouts” and communism.

You gotta hand it to OpenAI, billing this whole thing as a *partnership* between OpenAI and Hugging Face when what actually happened was that Hugging Face found someone using a bunch of bots to exploit security vulnerabilities and found out that that someone was OpenAI, lol. Talk about good marketing or whatever you want to call it, by OpenAI.

When physicist & best selling author Chanda Prescod-Weinstein sent me this declaration on AI written & signed by a bunch of mathematicians, I was initially super skeptical because I had seen a whole bunch of such “declarations” which, at best, are distractions from the actual problems we should be discussing. But once I started reading, I was mostly nodding my head up and down in complete agreement and super impressed at how spot on so many of the points were. https://leidendeclaration...

Scientific American's Megha Satyanarayana asked me what advice I have for young scientists. My answer: "Question everything, question the source of information that you get [...] Just follow all the rabbit holes [...] You spend years and years and years still asking the same question or following a specific rabbit hole that other people are too tired to follow. And that’s really where there is no shortcut to scientific discovery or innovation. You have to struggle." h...

Am I going to read this Anthropic + Vatican document? No I'm not. All I know is that the Vatican is doing Vatican washing, just like green washing. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised as they have a venture capital arm that invests in Silicon Valley companies 🤷🏼
