Today is #GivingTuesday, a global opportunity for us to use the individual power of generosity to support communities and important causes. In this appeal, our Executive Council Member @microstevens shares how, as an involved community member, she found it difficult to make the jump to also donating money to The Carpentries, but explains why today she does so gladly and invites more #CarpentriesCommunity members to join her in doing so: https://carpentries.org/blog/2023/11/celebrate-givingtuesda...

Our impact starts with people. Behind every Carpentries workshop is a community of Instructor Trainers, Instructors, Maintainers, and many other contributors working together to build data and computational skills worldwide. 🌍 Instructor Trainers prepare new Instructors in evidence-based teaching practices. Those Instructors then teach workshops that reach hundreds of learners. That’s the multiplier effect at the heart of The Carpentries. Read the blog: https://carpentries.org/blog/2026/04/h...
