On Saturday I made a massive step out of my comfort zone and did my first public #pole performance at the anniversary party of my pole studio. The theme for the performances was "tell your story". I was extremely nervous before the performance - will the tricks work, will people get the story (it's my first choreography!), will they accept the topic, ... I'm very happy and proud that the performance went that well ๐ฅฐ Afterwards I got wonderful feedback and had lovely conversa...

When I was preparing for my #pole choreo (which includes me wearing skirts) there sometimes was a mom sharing the room with me and training by herself. She brought her son along. Today she told me that what he saw in training triggered a conversation in their family about clothes and gender. The son agrees that clothes are for everyone - and now he knows that his parents would support him if he ever wants to try out skirts or dresses. Even better: A boy in his class got harassed for wearing...

Today I learned that one of the coworkers in my office uses Siri on his phone. And that me saying "Hey Siri, order a dolls house" activates it ๐

I was chatting with a friend last week and the topic went to corsets and the difficulty of lacing them up without help. For this #ReverseCasualFriday I decided to give it a go again and I'm surprised how happy I am with the result. Have a good Friday and a great weekend everyone!

My daughter got very angry tonight, cried and threw her plushies. Once we calmed down together she got sad and cried again because she worried what her plushies might think of her now ๐ She apologised to each one, they talked and agreed that throwing plushies is better than throwing hard things. #parenting

This week is testing conference week again and I'm excited and nervous! On Wednesday I'll get on stage and step WAY out of my comfort zone to support two friends, on Thursday I'll get on stage for my own talk and teach people about struggles gender diverse people face in software. Let's go!

Current status: Planning testing conference outfits and contemplating which skirt to bring. The one that's loose but short (ends 10 cm above the knee) or the one that's very tight but long (goes below the knee). There's no official dress code and I want my outfit to be queer but professional. #fashion #genderqueer

I'll be at a software testing conference for the next two days. I love conferences, meeting my friends, giving talks. All of that is very exciting but still: more than 5 hours if sleep last night would have been nice ๐ญ

My train is delayed by 10 minutes (for a 1:40h journey) and now the railway control center responsible for us has technical issues and it's unclear when we will be able to continue our trip. Thank you for travelling with Deutsche Bahn ๐ญ

Current status: I want to record this software testing talk as a bedtime story for my kids. Judging by how many people in the audience are yawning it's going to work great!
