@griefofpride@mastoart.social I'm a jazz guitarist, been playing for over fifty years. Guitar takes time. It's one of my "special interests". It sounds like you need a teacher. Self learning is hard because you don't know what you really should be working on and you get no feedback. Your feeling of your brain rejecting it all is just overload. @griefofpride@mastoart.social Another thing, barre chords are hard at first and are often an impediment to progress. I play in a jazz orchestra and almost never use barre chords. (but I do understand their utility in other styles) Anyway find a tune you like and try to learn that. Always play what you like to hear.
