Missed a Tai chi class this evening because I fell asleep 🤦♂️ The unemployment is beginning to settle in. I expect I'll be watching ST:TNG at 3am again tonight 😆

Fedi-friends... what's a good general/world news source these days? I've mostly just been avoiding reading/watching the news for a while now but I want to be better-informed... I just can't find a news source that isn't pushing a horrible agenda and also has good journalism. Any recommendations?

Welp, my 2026 so far has been a lot of rain, two really horrible colds (working on the second one at the moment 🤧), and getting laid off. I was hoping by now to at least be able to take comfort in the state of the world having improved compared to the last few years 😔

It’s been a while since I changed my note taking setup. I’ve been using Logseq for several years. I just moved to Standard Notes and loving it. Their documentation is quite lacking but everything is pretty self explanatory. I’m finally journaling every day again.

Alright. I give in. I've put it off as long as I possibly can. There's nothing else left to do. I shall meet Hanako at Embers. #cyberpunk

So, I'm getting laid off. It's a good thing as it was time for me to move on anyway. I've decided to take a short career break once the deed is done as the opportunity for another break will probably never come my way. Anyone who has done this before have any tips? Fully disconnect and then brush up on skills once I'm back in the game? Dedicate a day a week to keeping up to date on things? Spend like a maniac because YOLO? Tighten the belt and brace for a looooo...

It’s sunny! At last! Feel like I’ve waited years for this day. The winter was far too long.

Can someone just temporal engineer me into having pursued guitar playing when I was a teenager please? Having picked it up in my mid forties I’m simultaneously pleased and frustrated with my progress.
