So, I'm getting laid off. It's a good thing as it was time for me to move on anyway. I've decided to take a short career break once the deed is done as the opportunity for another break will probably never come my way. Anyone who has done this before have any tips? Fully disconnect and then brush up on skills once I'm back in the game? Dedicate a day a week to keeping up to date on things? Spend like a maniac because YOLO? Tighten the belt and brace for a looooong time finding a job?
