When my wife left for work early this morning it was -10C, so in solidarity I broke out the extension tubes for some more close-up ice photography. It seemed like the least I could do. #photography #BlackAndWhite #ice #macro

Experimentation is a huge part of photography for me. For example, here I spent two hours holding my camera in the powerful flow of a freezing cold burn running high from recent rains. I took more than 200 shots and have kept less than 20 due to the experimental nature of the session. Hot tip: If you fancy trying this, don't fill your wellies almost immediately - it makes for a long day. ๐๐ฅถ #photography #AbstractPhotography #WaterPhotography #Bubbles #TG7

Some pretty, dreamy Scottish spring wildflowers to brighten your Sunday, brought to you by a man lying on the wet ground ๐ They are opposite-leaved golden saxifrage, cowslips and wild garlic (Ramson). #photography #wildflowers #nature #Scotland

While exploring in my local woodland this morning I discovered something I have never seen here before: Hair Ice fungus. It's really delicate and beautiful, and quite rare as it requires very specific conditions in which to form. https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/learn-about/weather/types-of-weather/frost-and-ice/hair-ice #Fungi #Winter #Scotland #photography

@ambassador Is it true that Photog.social is closing down? If so, when?
