  i feel like disney's hercules is largely homage to hercules in new york. you got the short "hey herc" sidekick, you got the cosmopolitan sorta girlfriend, you got the shithead hades, you got the kinda slow but very polite hercules, you got the dumbass henchmen. there are certainly differences, but honestly. it's at least 60% the same movie in flavour. #monsterdon

  wee creatures are wonderful, and smart, and communicate in depth if only we listen well a tiny bird landed on the windowsill and made fluttering noises greg shortly trotted in, looked at me and made a questioning sound, like, "did you hear it? what was that?" i looked at her and said "it wasn't me" and then looked at the windowsill she ran over there and jumped up, and likely scared the bird away, and then made a sound that was clearly "dammit"

  kind of hate ttc line 5. it's not a subway, it's a streetcar in a tube, sometimes. should have called it 5xx something. i was coming back from wilson and thought, oh, i'll just bridge over on line 5 to get to wellesley faster than going around the line 1 bend. i am pretty sure it was slower. and involved multiple level changes including a broken escalator (when i was toting a lot of shopping in a cart). i'm sure it's nice for some purposes, but not that one.
