  Like many of you I currently have accounts on #mastodon AND #bluesky. I much much prefer the experience and the ecosystem here on mastodon, but many of the authors, intellectuals, sources, artists etc I want to follow are on bluesky. Also. When I share a post on bluesky I get quantity of views whilst shared on mastodon I get quality of views (ie thoughtful engagement). This leads to the irrational but real FOMO. Fear of mastodon obscurity.

  I must say I’m pretty much off all #socialmedia right now. The whole ecosystem has been replaced by my website and my #RSS reader. I have over 100 feeds that I can filter from. This allows me to curate and cultivate quality #information and #entertainment without all the bullshit and #AI noise. If I want to be social. I can simply connect with the authors via their comment section or emails. And honestly sharing & liking has become way too performative anyway. Rediscover the good...
