  i think every video essay script that has a section where the author talks about how bored or upset the viewer is could be made better by taking it out. no matter the length. just delete it! it's quick, easy, and frees up time you could use to say something that will contribute something to the world!

  if you subvert or deconstruct something without understanding what makes it compelling then your subversion/deconstruction will be ass. arguably the work that you produce might be compelling enough on its own to overcome this flaw (I have been told that Doki Doki Literature Club achieves this) but the subversive element will be ass.
