Hammering away at a new design for the lichat website. I really want it to give a sorta queer, non-corporate, and fun vibe, so there's a lot of purposefully broken conventions going on. Still not finalised, of course, but I'm pretty happy with the overall direction so far.

Lots of changes and work in the #Lichat ecosystem again recently. A bunch of changes and additions to the shirakumo extensions spec, the weechat plugin got some critical fixes, the js client is getting better all the time still, and the server is catching up with extension specs. It's nice! It's motivating! Personally I... really don&#39;t think I want to watch any book of Gibson&#39;s as a movie. I find that the strength in his stories is entirely within the way he is able to make your imagination do all the work of detailing out the environments, the characters, the looks, the feeling. Seeing a particular interpretation of all of that put visually like this immediately makes me go :nallears:

So my office workstation is taking an inordinate time to boot and I'm trying to figure out wtf is going on. systemd-analyze tells me: Startup finished in 51.414s (firmware) + 8.036s (loader) + 976ms (kernel) + 1min 7.909s (initrd) + 14.737s (userspace) = 2min 23.074s And that initrd time seems insane. Looking at the systemd-analyze plot, all of the devices take an insane amount of time. I can't figure out why. Any ideas? #linux #archlinux

next problem: I can build libmixed (https://shirakumo.org/projects/libmixed) fine for native ARM64, but trying to build for X86_64 gives me a really confusing linker error. Whadda hec.
