  The local political organizations rely 100% on Facebook groups and Messenger for communication. I tried to tell them that this was alienating younger and privacy-aware members, but they haven’t successfully pivoted to plain old email and websites yet. I even volunteered to help, but no call back.

So when I say that @paulg did a decent job with the history in this article I mean it. I literally wrote an article debunking the alleged quartz crisis so I was gritting my teeth when he brought that up... and then properly described it. And reading Pierre-Yves Donzé is a great start at accuracy. Well worth the read. Thanks @gruber !
