I like that I can say “open .” (no quotes) in Terminal.app (or equivalent) on macOS, and it will open the current working directory in Finder. #macOS #Finder #Terminal

Yesterday Toronto was +48℃ (humidex). Today also pretty much the same (+45℃ to +48℃). Plus potential thunderstorms.

Wow, *YEARS* after opting in to the mailing list for Winnebago, they finally sent me an email, for the first time. They emailed me about the (presumably new) “Winnebago® Elora™/Resa™” https://www.winnebago.com/models/elora-resa-family Regardless of whether I have any interest in this or any of their products, I applaud their restraint in not sending email every week just to keep engagement up artificially. #Winnebago #RV

My coffee beans have arrived, so I will have to venture out at street level heat &amp; humidity to pick them up. So far I’ve had three deliveries without problems, so fingers crossed I think we’ve figured out a reliable way to get them delivered.

Holy Science Experiment, Batman! It’s so hot and humid in downtown Toronto right now, that the dried and solidified salt (and/or salt substitute) stains on my boot mat from Winter have spontaneously liquified! There are pools of liquid where the dried stains and small clumps of salt used to be on the mat! #Toronto #Heat #Humidity #Science

At street level in downtown Toronto, it’s so hot and humid it feels more like swimming than walking. People’s deodorant give it an almost chlorine-like smell, so walking down the sidewalk it really does feel like you’re in a pool. #Toronto #Heat #Humidity #Humidex

The humidex was supposedly higher yesterday, but it feels more humid today by a wide margin in downtown Toronto. Government of Canada is saying the humidex is +43℃ now at 15:20, however it feels higher than the +48℃ reported for yesterday. 40% chance of showers, risk of thunderstorms, starting now until 21:00.

Okay, this temperature (and humidity) in downtown Toronto feels *very* nice. Very nice. If I was a lizard I’d want to sun on a nice rock. 3 days of nice temperatures, followed by a little cool-off. I’ve been waiting what feels like forever (Canadian Winter) for these temperatures. I’m going to do everything! (*does nothing*)

I’m still a little pissed that (a long while ago now) Microsoft forced me to migrate my classic Minecraft account to a Microsoft account, and some point after that the Microsoft account just stopped working with bizarre errors and all the recovery steps don’t work so I’ve just lost my Minecraft account. Like, fuck you. Also my Microsoft accounts tied to my old Xbox consoles are also individually broken, and steps to recovery are broken, so I guess I’m just a Playstation person now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Due to having so many avocados ripen all at once, I now know there is such a thing as having “too much avocado.” My spicy guacamole salad benefits from exactly two avocados. Less, and it’s not creamy. More than two avocados and I feel like I’m drowning. I tried one with four avocados, and that’s when it was definitively “too much avocado” for even making three portions worth. Two avocados. Just two. No more, no less.

It’s the first night I’ve had the balcony door open into the extended evening. I know there’s going to be a cooling off later in the week, but for now I’m just sitting here enjoying the weather.
