  #dailyWords [ 2822 / 24000 ] #writing yesterday I clearly wrote 2822 words (95%+ prose) of my #commonLisp #DL book draft In June. I reached a minor decision point and eventually lost consciousness in its pickling brine. I decided to peg my check-in-on-how-the-book-is-going at 24000 words. At my current instantaneous velocity, this will take about 10 days. Somewhat to my surprise, the book is extremely, extremely picture heavy, almost coffee-table heavy.

  Do you worry that > software engineering best practices that make sense in the context of large scale products is just low effort busywork that people who privately resent their employer can log time against without controversy. I guess I am reminded of Kay saying that we are neither doing science nor engineering, but rather we are a sort of designers. What if more stuff is actually as erroneous as Agile Management Methodologies.
